Partnering is more than just a buzz word here at Magnum Precision Machines. It is part of the value added, service oriented approach to sales that has made Magnum the best in the Southwest. You get the benefit of our expertise and years of experience coupled with direct interaction with the machine tool builder.
Heres how we do it: let's say, you, the customer, are currently buying expensive, but necessary fixtures (for your end product) from another company. It occurs to you that you might save some cash by making your own fixtures in-house. While we could just offer you a turnkey set-up — meaning that Magnum would select equipment, design and build the holding fixtures for the machining process, purchase the cutting tools, develop the part programs and deliver the equipment to your plant with a guarantee of part quality and production levels — we go one step further and make you and your employees a part of the equation.
Magnums sales force creates a partnership with you and the machine tool builders application group. Together we identify the proper equipment for your production needs. The chosen equipment is then installed at the machine tool builders facility. You assign a project engineer who will work, side by side (with the builders people), on location, for the duration of the development process. Your project engineer works with the machine tool builders project engineer, fixturing people, programmers and other engineers to develop the right fixtures, tooling and processing necessary to manufacture your product. While your project engineer works on development, your operators and maintenance technicians are being trained on the new equipment at the machine tool builders facilities.
Once development and training are done, the equipment is installed at your plant. You will be able to begin immediate production with the assurance that quality control and production levels have been completely addressed through the project engineers thorough involvement in the development process and the comprehensive training of operators and technicians. In other words, youre good to go, with no additional time-consuming, costly on-site training!
